Street Scene Revolution's Super Bowl of Street Racing: db Competition

Street Scene Revolution's Super Bowl of Street Racing offers four audio dB classes to accommodate the entire gamut of car audio enthusiasts from people looking to test their vehicle to seasoned audiophiles. Unlike most audio events where the organizers charge you a membership fee plus a ridiculously high entry fee at SSR's Super Bowl of Street Racing participants just pay a low entry fee! To keep the dB classes simple yet competitive they are based exclusively on the sum of the woofers surface area. The below chart can help you calculate what class you will be in.

Class I: Up to 160 sq in	Class II: 161 - 360 sq in

To create an audio / dB competition targeting the most competitive and LEGITIMATE street legal vehicles, the following rules on safety and vehicle modifications apply:

Class Rules

SPL Measurement

Vehicle must have current plates
Amplifier(s): Unlimited
Vehicle Interior: Any Alteration
Battery: Unlimited
Alternators: Unlimited
Volts: 12 volts - 18 volts
Location of Box: Anywhere
Cabin Configuration: Doors, Windows, etc. can be either open or closed during the test.
No fanning of doors.
External doublers, tone generators, etc. that alter the frequencies that the system plays during the test will lead to immediate disqualification.

Winner: Highest Peak dB
Max Engine RPM: 1200
Microphone Location: 12" From the Passenger Window - Facing the Window
Preparation: Competitor has five minutes to make adjustments to the audio system in preparation for the test.
Duration: 30 Seconds of an official Street Scene Revolution SPL music track.
System Malfunction/Retest: 2 minutes to repair (Result of the second retest will be the competitor’s final score.)

Safety Rules

Hearing protection is required to be used by the competitor if s/he is inside of the vehicle during SPL testing.
150dB and higher: Competitor must start & stop the audio system from outside of the vehicle.
